What makes this a lot funnier is the painting with the Native American at about 3:02 with the horizon in the middle
"listen here champ... that's short for champion." - John ford
I loved this movie, but when this scene played I absolutely loved everything about this scene. And I haven't laughed this hard in awhile. Everything about this scene and the ending with the tilt adjustment is just perfection. It's honestly one of the most iconic scenes of recent cinema I can remember. It reminded me Spielberg's still got it.
as I have not seen the movie ; what was the exact significance ( from who and why ? ) of the lipstick on Ford's cheek ?
this movie any good? lol
The best
This is a perfect movie to take a laugh at and have a good time.
The best part is that David Lynch wasn't acting. That makes this scene real.
Spielberg and Lynch : BOTH EAGLE SCOUTS 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
Real Boss...
Ending was perfect.
Bro is CHUFFIN BACK a fat one
Thank you.
When Spielberg made movies in the 80s, it was interesting. When Spielberg made movies in the 90s, it was interesting. Everything after that was BORING AS SHIT!
秘書が赤髪設定なのは、モーリン・オハラを彷彿とさせたいから。主人公がシャツのボタンを一番上まで閉めている理由は、普段のデビット・リンチがシャツのボタンを一番上まで閉めているから。 The secretary is set up with red hair because she wants to be reminiscent of Maureen O'Hara. The reason the main character has his shirt buttoned to the top is because David Lynch usually buttons his shirt to the top.(From Dear Japanese)
At some point in this scene I think that John Ford should've called him a 'Little Fucker!' Lol😂😂😂
Dick Slessig Combo. Best cover re-interpretation ever.
I wouldn’t mind if we have a follow up to The Fablemans.
Nice of David Lynch to play himself. 😂
Watching this scene feels like John Ford passing the torch to Spielberg.

2:02 In the Spielberg documentary for HBO, Liam Neeson mentioned how Spielberg directed how he should smoke in one scene for “Schindler’s List.” I wonder if he directed Lynch’s cigar-puffing here.
There's something so particular about the eyepatch over rather than under the glasses that just makes this character
Ever notice that Sammy is dressed as david lynch in this scene???
Spielberg ripped off this entire scene from Louis CK’s episode with lynch
thanks for uploading
Meow.
1:30
Spielberg has talked about how he found it so unusual back then that Ford used the term "picture maker" and that really strikes me as a big hint towards why Lynch works so well for this role: He has that "fallen out of time" quality and can just casually use language that was already decades out of date when Steven Spielberg was young.
You’re back again, you’re back again :O
What is this movie??
Theres a missed scene of him stuck in a K hole
This cameo was a pleasant surprise
Does anyone have the guitar tabs? :(
Imagine John Ford was asked today if he would have talked different to him if he would have known how famous he will become, and he answered "no, because he became famous because he followed my advice"
Wes Anderson would like to speak to you
I love the way he says, "My Pleasure". He sounds like he gave Sammy Fabelman a real heart to heart teaching moment 😁
He's right, the horizon is always interesting at the top and bottom
It was brief, but he gave him a memory that he never forgot along with some genuinely useful advice.
I think John Ford mean rule of thirds.
I tend to forget David Lynch does so much acting as well, its so surreal.
11 years after this Spielberg would have made Duel.
I love how this scene plays out like a literal scene from a David Lynch film.
Looks like a youtube video. Good scene, though.
You can't help but smile with Lynch as he says my pleasure lol
The "my pleasure" does three jobs... it humanizes Ford, Lynch, and Spielberg all at the same time. It's a little shift in tone that says "I get it." It also says "hold on to that thrill!" That sense of awe that comes with art, shared by three artists.
That was John Ford. From what I read about him he could be very mean
As good as Gordon Cole. Lynch is a great one.
DAAAAAAAAAAVIDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD TE AMO
This performance over a bag of cheetos. Damm good deal ✨
Other actors: I want 100M to play this character. David Lynch: I want a bag of cheetos!
The way he said "Why?" just slayed me. 😂
